Important considerations:

Much of Victoria is welcoming visitors, but some parts of the state are currently experiencing flooding and or managing clean ups.

Before you leave home, or take clients out, it is important to:
• Check for warnings via VicEmergency.
• Plan your journey by visiting VicRoads to check for road closures and disruptions – traffic.vicroads.vic.gov.au
• Check the weather forecast, and any weather warnings via bom.gov.au/vic/warnings
• Check the conditions of Victoria’s parks by visiting Parks Victoria at
parks.vic.gov.au/get-into-nature/safety-in-nature/flood-and-storm-affected-parks
and ffm.vic.gov.au/forest-and-road-closures

Consider when planning a trip: 
• Heavy rainfall and flooding can damage roads. Drive to the conditions and follow road signs.
• Never drive through flood waters, turn back and look for an alernate route.
• Take weather appropriate clothing, portable phone chargers, water tight bags, and full tank of fuel if driving, incase of road diversions, and allow extra time.

If your long weekend travel plans have been disrupted by flooding, consider reaching out to your accommodation provider to see if you can reschedule your visit. By planning a visit for the future, you are helping local tourism businesses recover when they’re ready to welcome back visitors
