Find more on Government support and plans on managing flood impacts in your tourism and events business.

State Government has arranged a few packages of relief via direct to residents, some income impact programs and also support programs directly to local Shire or Councils in impacted areas.

If you are taking any calls from distressed people who have evacuated or relocated as a result of this flood event, please provide them with the number for the Flood Recovery Hotline which is 1800 560 760.

Note :: Where possible stay away from areas impacted by floods as communities are struggling with lack of infrastructure and roads are heavily impacted.

Take care with potholes created by flood waters, wildlife that may be on higher ground than normal, and power and internet reception outages.

There are now 46 LGA’s covered by the support programs. ( including 8 Metro Councils – Manningham, Moonee Valley, Wyndham, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Hume, Brimbank and Boroondara.)
