Tourism Recovery Consultations

VTIC is pleased to launch the Tourism Recovery Consultations program to help businesses during these challenging times. This project is part of a wider industry development program that has been funded and supported by the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions.

“As the owner of a small family run business the opportunity to participate in the Tourism Recovery Consultations was most valuable. Looking at my business from outside my mentor was able to point out a few improvements to our online presence, including alerting guests to our COVID safe measures. It was great to have fresh eyes.
She also helped me work through a business decision I had been dithering over and gave me the courage to give it a try.
I highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity” – Sharon Richardson, Harmony Bed & Breakfast

PROGRAM AIM

The aim of the program is to help businesses to prioritise and organise their next steps and set some realistic goals to kick start their recovery.

PROGRAM GOALS

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE

Participants will receive a one-on-one free consultation (of up to 90-minute) with one of our experienced tourism industry consultants.

The consultation will be a two-way discussion to help you identify a ‘goal’ to focus on, evaluate options that can help you achieve this goal and set some practical actions to get you started on your recovery journey.

HOW WILL APPLICATIONS BE ASSESSED

There’s a limited number of sessions available and applications will be assessed in the order in which they are submitted. VTIC will consider each application for support on its merits and needs, and whether the applicants needs can be met and supported by our tourism industry consultants.

THE PRE-CONSULTATION FORM

As the consultation session is limited to 90 minutes, a pre-consultation form will help our tourism industry consultants better understand your business, your current situation and what you would like to achieve. This information will help them plan the session and concentrate on your goals and how you can achieve them.

In this form, you will also be asked to identify ‘one thing’ (your most valued outcome) you hope to get out of the consultation session. You will need about 15 minutes to complete this form, and this needs to be submitted at least 72 hours before the consultation.

PROGRAM DATES

Applications are open between Thursday 24 September and Monday 30 November 2020, or when the number of funded consultations is exhausted, whichever occurs first.

HOW TO APPLY

Complete this application form – this will only take you 5 minutes.
