VTIC, in partnership with Tourism Tribe, is pleased to continue delivering the Tourism Digital BizKeeper program in 2021 – 2022. 

This project is part of a wider industry development program that has been funded and supported by the Victorian Government.

What is the Tourism Digital BizKeeper?

Have you ever stopped to think: how can technology and digital marketing help my bottom line? (Hint: it’s more than than just fancy logos, social media campaigns and selling your products and services).

When you look beyond your daily habits and business practices, what does ‘going digital’ truly mean? What does it comprise? And – perhaps most importantly – how can you do it well?

Experiencing a digital transformation means freeing you up to do more of what you love to satisfy the needs of your customers more effectively than your competition.

If all this sounds easier said than done, or you could use a brush up on the foundations of digital marketing and technology to help you work smarter, this interactive course is for you. You’ll hear from industry experts as they walk you through the fundamental concepts to help create a vision of the future that your customers will seek and you will keep for many years to come.

The course is interactive and practical – participants will be asked to work on their businesses from day one.

Two levels of the program will be available across 2021-2022: Tourism Digital Bizkeeper 101 and Tourism Digital Bizkeeper 202. Applications for Tourism Digital Bizkeeper 101 are currently open. Stay tuned for further announcements about the Tourism Digital Bizkeeper 202 program.


What will you learn in Tourism Digital BizKeeper 101?


Program format and content


1. A digital health tracker

The Digital Health Check is a very detailed assessment of your business’ online presence. It provides an analysis of every aspect of your website, Facebook, Instagram, Google My Business and TripAdvisor profile. Tourism Tribe will conduct a scan against detailed criteria for each platform, pre and post the course.

Tourism businesses are not one size fits all and neither is their digital journey. The program will give participants access to small group tech sessions and ‘fix it for me’ opportunities as well as access to Tourism Tribe’s online small business community.

The program is FREE of charge to successful applicants (valued at $1,500) but the first intake is limited to 100 businesses in Victoria.

Fill out the application form here. The first intake in 2021 is limited to 100 businesses. You will need to complete the expression of interest application to be assessed by VTIC and Tourism Tribe. Applicants who are not successful for the first round will be kept on file to be considered for the second round.
