COVID Marshals are responsible for monitoring and overseeing workplace compliance to COVID Safe obligations including but not limited to supporting employees, keeping COVID Safe plan up to date, managing signage, PPE, workplace bubbles, cleaning and hygiene and distancing requirements. COVID Marshals should complete this free online training course Not all businesses are required to have a COVID Marshall, information on required businesses here
COVID Check-in Marshals are responsible for ensuring that all patrons check in using the business QR Code (or paper alternative), the Marshal can request but not compel patrons to see proof, the marshal can request the patron not enter but is not required or encouraged to enforce refusal of entry. Police or Security guard should be contacted if support s required.
